What is a Crime Stoppers program? All Crime Stoppers programs (across the US) are civilian operated non-profits that facilitate communication between law enforcement and the community for those community members who may have information but otherwise will not relay it to their law enforcement. A rewards program is used to help incentivize that communication as well, by offering an offense-level cash rewards based on an arrest, the nature of the original offense and if that arrest includes things like recovered property, drug confiscation, etc. All information obtained about the tipster is kept 100% anonymous and never provided to law enforcement.
Gillette Crime Stoppers, INC. is a non-profit 501C(3)and all donations by the community or corporations are considered tax-deductible.
No government funding (taxpayer money) is used in the rewards program for tips that lead to arrests or recovery of stolen property.
Never attempt to apprehend a wanted person yourself – contact your local authorities or Crime Stoppers.
An arrest is not a conviction. All suspects are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law
“When bad men combine, the good must associate; else they will fall, one by one, an unpitied sacrifice in a contemptible struggle.”
Edmund Burke, 1770
